MTEXT STYLE AND HEIGHT

The defined Height of a Text Style, if non-zero, is drawn out of the definition in the process of drawing Text/Mtext with the relevant commands, in place of asking the User to supply a value. But it doesn’t "remember" the Style’s defined Height afterwards — it is not immutable once drawn. So:

Text appears bolder than expected in AutoCAD

For MText: Explode the Mtext to Dtext. Select the Dtext. On the Properties Palette, reenter 0 for the Position Z. If required, use the Express Tools command TXT2MTXT to convert the text back to Mtext or click the Express Tools menu > Text tab > Convert Text to Mtext. For Dimension text: At the command line, enter the FLATTEN command.
