Re: How to redefine block base point? It works, but how can you change base point position without changing block position in model (maybe to reset the base point)? I have hundreds of blocks and after putting new base point its move far away from architecture.

10/21/2013 · Hi, To change the base point of a bloc without moving it just follow these steps: 1- Copy an instance of the bloc (Let’s call it B1) 2- Explode It. 3- Create a new Bloc with the exploded objects (Let’s call it B2) 4- Choose the desired based point. 5- Select B2, copy it with Ctrl+C. 5- Open B1 in the bloc editor. 6- Past B2 with Ctrl+V

2/1/2018 · I’d like to change the insertion point for future insertions, without changing the LOCATION of the blocks I’ve already inserted. I realize I can just create a new block and name with the revised insertion point, but the longer the block list becomes, the harder it is to find the block I want to insert. Some of my drawings have over 70 block names.
