Make sure the hatch layer is turned on and not frozen. Under Options/ Display, make sure the box next to "apply solid fill" is checked and then Click on "Apply" and "OK Turn on the hatch quick preview and fill mode (see Hatch preview does not appear for a selected area in AutoCAD). Repair the file (see How to repair corrupt AutoCAD files).

1/15/2013 · What command chain appears in the command line area? Are you using the right click hatch menu? Previewing the hatch? If all else is as it should be, try purging some junk out of the drawing. I’ve had hatch fail with no errors before when (it seems) that the drawing is bloated.

7/2/2009 · It seems that Autodesk has disabled this feature by default, maybe because of performance issues. To activate it, simply open option. You can do it by typing OP then [enter] or by accessing through AutoCAD ribbon. In the options dialog box, drafting tab, in object snap options, turn off ignore hatch objects.
